Oak barber-surgeons chair, bound by metal bands. The legs and arms made from oak branches.

This chair was purchased by the museum in the 1920s when it was advertised as a 17th century barber surgeon's chair. It is now thought to be of a later date as the seat is similar in design to 19th century Windsor chairs, with oak branches added as legs and arms. Wear on the headrest suggests it was used as a dental practitioner's chair.
